Phase 1 of this development was secured following a design & build tender process and included district heating and other sustainable features in a ‘home-zone’ layout. After successfully delivering these 57 homes, we moved to the next phase of 70 high spec houses but utilising a PPC 2000 form of contract. Built utilising timber frame, all houses are designed to meet the specific needs of the community and provide the highest standards in terms of energy efficiency, life cost and the overall environment – a far cry from the housing being replaced. This procurement method allows all members of the team to contribute to achieving these objectives – an opportunity which our management pro-actively grasps. |
