Stewart Milne Construction creates student friendly apartments
| One of Scotland’s leading construction companies, Stewart Milne Construction, has completed work on a new 59 bed student accommodation development at Wellgate House in the Cowgate, Edinburgh. Delivered on behalf of Ziggurat Student Living, the £2m project incorporated a full conversion of the former office premises into modern, stylish accommodation for the city’s students. The block features a mix of studio flats and shared flats for between four and six people, all ensuite, with three two storey penthouse flats offering stunning views over Arthur’s Seat and the roof line of the Old Town.”
Commenting on the project, Noel Staunton, regional director of Stewart Milne Construction said: “We have had a very successful partnership with Ziggurat and we are proud to be handing over this completed development. City centre regeneration and preserving our built environment is increasingly important and this is an excellent example of how redevelopments of this nature can meet the demand for central accommodation and add to a vibrant city environment.
